Safe in My Brother’s Arms (SIMBA)

Safe in My Brother’s Arms (SIMBA) is a youth empowerment program aimed to enrich the lives of students (6th-8th grade) in temporary housing through support services and an environment that encourages youth to achieve and succeed.  SIMBA aims to enrich the lives of students (6th-8th grade) in temporary housing and provides support services and an environment that encourages youth to achieve and succeed.

The name of our program and intervention, SIMBA, is a Swahili word which means “young lion.” We believe that the strength and resilience of youth in our program are comparable to the regal presence of young lions.
