Internal Accountant

Internal Accountant sought to monitor spending situation of 16 contracts monthly for budget planning & modification. Assist in preparation and analysis of annual program budgets. Review & compile construction requisitions for a $36 million affordable housing program. Compile quarterly balance sheet & income statement in compliance with different reporting requirements. Prepare & analyze accounting records, financial statements to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

Maintain & reconcile subsidy & rent revenue for three fully operating affordable housing programs. Assist with audit preparation.

 

Require skills: Familiar with accounting principles (GAAP); Knowledge of basic auditing standards and procedures; Knowledge of managerial accounting, basic concept of cost analysis and the calculation of indirect cost; Financial management skills to analyze individual program’s spending pattern and monitor budgets.
