School’s Out New York City (SONYC)

CCM’s afterschool and vacation/summer day camp programs for over 400 Brooklyn children ages 5 to 14 years in five schools (grades K-8).  Our programs offer supervised homework assistance, sports, arts activities, films, field trips, and reading.  Our program provides safe, nurturing afterschool services that meet the needs of working families, while addressing the special interests and concerns of their children.  Children and youth who participate have fun, make friends, and develop new interests that open unimagined opportunities for them.

Trained staff provide quality programing designed to promote character, leadership, educational and career development, while building health, life, arts, and athletic skills.  Students are given the chance to participate in activities that promote awareness, ignite curiosity, and provide a variety of physical activity that are designed to keep them enthused and motivated to grow into exceptional adults.  The CCM team encourages skills that will allow students to aid their community, preserve their safety, and make healthy life choices.

CCM firmly believes that education does not end with the school day.  When schools are closed, CCM offers a Vacation Time and Summer Day Camp, where students can partake in fun-filled and enriching activities.
