Ruby’s Place

CCM Ruby’s Place is a 72-unit residential building that opened in 2015, and provides supportive permanent housing to 60 homeless people with serious mental illness and/or substance use issues.  It is located at 226 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn, NY 11226.  Onsite social workers and other specialists provide tenants with stabilization and support services designed to improve the physical, social and emotional, intellectual and economic well-being.  They work with tenants to address their physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and economic needs.

Eleven apartments provide affordable housing for eligible community members, and there is an on-site super.

Ruby’s Place has a rooftop farm that produces fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as a garden that is available to residents for workshops and meditation.  Ruby’s place also has a gym that tenants can utilize to maintain and improve their physical well-being.

This building is named in honor of Ruby Sargent, the mother of CCM’s deceased Founder, President and CEO Emory X Brooks.
