Agency Overview
Brooklyn-based Community Counselling & Mediation (CCM) was founded in 1982, and today serves approximately 10,000 children, youth, adults, and families annually in the following programs:
- 6 mental health clinics (5 in Brooklyn and 1 in Manhattan);
- 4 Brooklyn supported housing programs for individuals and families;
- Youth enrichment programs working with Brooklyn shelters, low-income communities, and public schools;
- Family and youth peer support services; and
- HIV and Hepatitis prevention services.
With an annual budget of $25 million and a staff of 325 employees, CCM is funded by the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, NYS Education Department, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/SAMHSA.
Our Mission
CCM’s mission is to enable New Yorkers of all ages who face the challenges of poverty, behavioral health challenges, family instability, and/or homelessness to achieve their full potential through innovative mental health, supportive housing, youth enrichment, preventive health, and case management services, which work together to help people with complex needs and problems.
