Mental Health Counselor
Worksite: Brooklyn, NY
Conduct intake assessments and provide ongoing individual and group psychotherapeutic treatment to seriously disturbed patients. Work with a highly diverse caseload of adults, adolescents, families and children for group and individual counseling, couples/family counseling, trauma counseling. Complete bio-psychosocial evaluations, trauma assessments, TBI assessments. Medication Management – Monitor medications to confirm compliance with medication regimen. All required documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries. Participate in staff meetings, case conference, utilization review, change teams, staff development, clinical supervision and trainings. Meet billing targets and maintain compliance with billing requirements of Medicaid and other insurances.
Requires: Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology or Social Work, with Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)/Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
